Death and Resurrection

The  Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most important event of History. Everything before the His Death and Resurrection pointed to this singular event, and everything that has happened after has been affected by this event. History is truly HIS story, the story of Jesus Christ. This is no fairy tale but the crux of are existence. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 The reality of Jesus taking our place for the wrongs we have done and then rising to life once again sets a choice before us. The Choice of accepting the gift of salvation through the work of Christ on the Cross with the hope of everlasting life through His resurrection or rejecting Jesus and remaining  dead in our wrongs.

Psalm 32:1-2 “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”

The Isrealites where charged with a choice. Deuteronomy 11:26 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:” Blessing for obedience to the Lord and a curse for going after the gods of this world. What will you choose? A Blessing? Then choose life in Christ and Christ alone. Or a Curse? The road of disobedience and rejection of Jesus that leads only to death.  The choice is before you. I pray you choose life, eternal life through the work of Jesus Christ.
