True Love!

Love is a word that is used in many different ways. For example “I love Buffalo chicken wings.” Growing up in Buffalo I do have a fondness for them, but the more proper expression would be “I really like chicken wings.”

The simplest and I believe the best definition of Love is found in 1 John 4:16 “God is Love,”   John 15:13 Jesus says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” Jesus says this, then lives this out for each one of us, as He willing went to the cross to pay for our sins.

How is your Love life? and I do not mean romantically. Well here is a good test. Replace the word Love in the following scriptures with your name.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice ininiquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears allthings, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” NKJV

 So, how did you do? I hope it made you think and ask God to help you to love more. Jesus tells us to simply Love God and Love others. To do this we need His love in us, first.
